Dutch’s Distinguished Readers is a program designed for Central Heights Elementary students to encourage good reading habits. Although our program focuses primarily on reading and encouraging lifelong habits of reading, we also encourage healthy habits of being good citizens at Central Heights as well as in the world around us. Each grading period names are submitted by teachers and adults at Central Heights for students to “adopt” one of Dutch’s puppies (a small stuffed labrador puppy) to take home with them to read to each night. Student’s names can be given for accomplishments in Reading, most improved reader, and for giving the extra effort to do well in school.

Please click HERE to see how you can be a part of this program by sponsoring the puppies!
