Fourth Grade
I am the 2005 Valedictorian of Douglass High School. Following graduation, I enrolled in the Fall semester at Stephen F. Austin State University. I graduated from SFA following my completion of the 2009 Spring semester.
I completed my degree from SFA in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in 4-8 Mathematics.
Following my Spring graduation from SFA in 2009, I began my teaching career in the Fall at Central Heights ISD as one of four awesome 4th grade teachers. Now I am one of five amazing 4th grade teachers. I have six years of teaching experience all at Central Height ISD. My entire teaching career has been in a 4th grade classroom teaching math and science.
In March 2011, I married my sweet husband, John. We celebrated our fourth anniversary this year. Time sure does fly! This past November, we had our first child, a bouncing baby boy named Jared. He is the light of our lives!
Our family also consists of a dog, Needer.
When I have extra time, I love to hang out with my family and play with my son. I also like to visit with friends. I love to crochet and knit as well as other crafty things. I love to make Christmas ornaments. Pinterest is another favorite of mine.
When I have lots of space and time, I like to cook. I have lots of recipes I want to try, but I haven't found the time to try them yet.
I absolutely love butterflies, owls, and flowers! My husband and I love visiting zoos and arboretums.
I really don't have a favorite color. If you asked a family member what my favorite color was, they would probably say green or blue though. I seem to always choose clothes and such that are shades of blue or green.
I love flowery patterns and polka dots as well as chevrons and stripes. Anything with a decorative pattern is usually pretty cool!
