PTO Fun Run + Wildlife on the Move

The Halloween Fun Run is the biggest fundraiser of the year for CHES PTO. Please use the following link to setup your child’s fun run website today: https://app.99pledges.com/fund/chesfunrun2026/addme.  Students will run outside at the track during their specials time on October 30th.

CHES PTO raises money for playground equipment, classroom supply restock, Blue Devil Bash student fun day, books for our vending machine, and student rewards. This year, PTO is bringing back Wildlife on the Move - an interactive presentation for students that brings science to life with live animals, fun, and learning! Thank you, CHES PTO!

Red Ribbon Week 2026

What is Red Ribbon Week?
Red Ribbon Week is the nation's largest and longest-running drug-awareness campaign. Held annually in late October, it serves as a nationwide pledge to make safe, positive life choices.

Why We Celebrate It
At the elementary level, Red Ribbon Week focuses on building a foundation of healthy habits, smart decision-making, and self-confidence. It provides an age-appropriate way to teach students how to take care of their bodies, resist negative peer pressure, and understand the importance of staying drug-free.

Theme Days for RRW 2026
We will be participating in fun spirit dress days the week of Oct 26th - Oct 30th. Please remember that our dress code must be followed, and tennis shoes are required for PE, and for the Fun Run.

Reminder - Transportation Changes

All transportation changes must be submitted to the elementary office before 2:00 PM. Please call 936-552-3424 directly to relay any updates. Avoid sending messages via ParentSquare for same-day changes, as teachers may not be able to check messages during class. Contacting the front office ensures your message is received promptly. Thank you for your cooperation!

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Every day in school is a chance to learn, grow, and connect! Regular attendance builds strong learning habits, boosts confidence, and keeps students on track academically.

Quick Reminder: When your child is absent due to illness, please send a doctor's note to the front office as soon as they return so we can mark their absence as excused. Thank you for helping us keep our Blue Devils learning and thriving!
