The Elementary UIL program gives students in grades 2–5 the opportunity to participate in academic competitions with other schools in our AAA district. Events are designed to challenge and inspire young learners in areas like reading, writing, math, speaking, and more. This program builds confidence, teamwork, and a love for learning—all while representing Central Heights with pride!
Who Can Join:
Students in grades 2–5.
Requirements to Join:
Must have passing grades
Must complete a tryout
Parent permission is required
How to Join:
Sign-ups are posted approximately 2–3 months before tryouts.

Spreading kindness, one act at a time.
The Kindness Club is a service-oriented group for students in grades 2–5, dedicated to spreading kindness throughout the school and community. Members participate in various activities designed to foster compassion, empathy, and positive actions. It’s all about making the world a better place, one kind deed at a time!
Who Can Join:
Students in grades 2–5.
Requirements to Join:
Attend meetings and actively participate in spreading kindness.
How to Join:
Simply come to the meetings and remember to be kind!

Club Name: Central Heights Youth Basketball Association (CHYBA)
Who Can Join: Ages 5–14
What We Do:
CHYBA exists to expose young kids to the game of basketball—giving them the chance to play, learn, and grow in the sport from an early age. Our program encourages teamwork, skill development, and a love for the game.
Requirements to Join:
Participants must be 5–14 years old on or before August 1 of the following year and must attend or live within the Central Heights school boundaries. (Some exceptions can be made if no Little Dribblers program exists at your school.)
How to Join:
Register in the fall when registration opens, usually around September or October each school year.
